I wish I was Angelina Jolie...
I bet you've heard it as well, since it's all over the news this morning: Angelina Jolie had a double masectomy. I was never jealous of her looks, her money, being with Brad Pitt or having the cutest bunch of kids. But today, I am jealous. I am jealous she has the money to feel a lot safer for the rest of her life.
No mother's day post on here? That is because my mom is an angel. She passed away when I was 14, leaving my dad with 5 kids behind. Breast cancer.
A few years later her mom, my grandma, passed away as well. Colon cancer.
I know I will never have the balls to have my DNA checked for that shitty cancer gene. I don't want to live my life knowing there is a time bomb ticking inside of me.
I just really wish I had the money to do what Angelina Jolie just did.

I don't like lazy people.
Hello and Happy Monday!
I hope you guys had an amazing weekend and wonderful Mother's Day? My weekend was so and so. My dad and his girlfriend came all the way down to Bavaria to visit my sis, nephew, and Miss Anni. It was nice to have Dad around... Friday after work I joined them at my sister's place for coffee and cake, and afterwards we went for a walk in the park. I was playing soccer with my nephew - and the dog - and my sis took some awesome action shots :oD
After that walk and soccer, I went home and finished day 19 of the "30 day shred" - but that was it workout-wise for the rest of the weekend. My belly was killing me (the time of the month) and I spent most time on the couch, hot-water bag, blanket, sweatpants, "Army Wives". So if you look at the following 2 pictures, you can see my Sunday view. I didn't even make it to church...
Saturday we went downtown Nuremberg for a couple of hours for some shopping, and had a coffee at the beach as well. Don't you hate it when you realize your parents - in my case: Dad - get old and lazy? They wanted to sit down and take a break every 5 minutes. It was so irritating! They are pretty lazy, and I hate that. You only have one body and (especially when you are a little older) you should try to live a healthy lifestyle and KEEP MOVING! Nope, not them. They sit on their butts all day, drink tons of coffee, wine, beer, you name it.
After me living here for more than 2 years now, Dad FINALLY made it up the stairs to the 5th floor to help me put the hood above the stove. I wanted to show them my "home", but all they wanted was to finish this little project asap so they could go back over to my sis and have some more rest. Argh.
At least the kitchen looks a little more professional and way nicer now:
Today I'm at work, still suffering a little. But one thing is for sure: I will definitely do day 20 of the "30 Day Shred" tonight!!! I can't wait!

How was your weekend?
And: Is it common that parents get weird at a certain point? It sucks :(
